The most interesting part of Irkutsk, whose center is shown in the live camera, is the complexes of the oldest part of the city: the Spasskaya Church of the early 18th century, the Epiphany Cathedral of the late 18th century, the monument to Emperor Alexander III (now called the “First Pioneers of Siberia”) and the building of the East-Siberian Department of Russian Geographical society. Also, Irkutsk has the largest number of baroque churches in Siberia.

Sukachev is the oldest and richest art museum in Siberia with a collection of works of art by the Irkutsk public figure Vladimir Sukachev. The Irkutsk Regional Museum of Local Lore is notable for its exposition – “The History of the Irkutsk Region from the Paleolithic to the Present Day.”

Irkutsk Mineralogical Museum named after Sidorov A.V. is one of the five best mineralogical museums in Russia with a collection of minerals from the Irkutsk region online, and minerals from around the world (1,500 species).

An interesting attraction of Irkutsk, which panorama is clearly visible in the online live camera, is the Angara icebreaker, the only vessel from the first icebreaking vessels that has survived in Russia to this day.
