Great Western Beach

Great Western in the webcam is one of the four beaches in the town of Newquay, popular both among surfers and lovers of just relaxing on the coast. The live streamed beach is surrounded by caves and rocks. During low tide, stone pools form by the coast in the online camera.

Great Western Beach, which you see in the web camera, is located between the beaches of Towan and Tolcarne, and can be reached either on foot on the sand at low tide, or along an asphalt path.

The Great Western, shown in the live camera, is located in the heart of Newquay Bay, surrounded by ocean waves refracting around Towan Head. The beach in the live cam has been the center of beach life in this Atlantic coastal tourism community for more than a century.

It was here, on Great Western Beach, that surfing was born in the 1960s.

Newquay

Newquay, where the live broadcast is being conducted from, is a city on the north coast of Cornwall, in the southwestern part of England. It is a civil parish, seaside resort, regional aerospace center, spaceport and fishing port on the North Atlantic coast of Cornwall.

The city, whose beach is shown by the webcam, is bounded in the south by the Gunnel River, and in the northeast by the Porth Valley. The western edge of the city meets the Atlantic at Fistral Bay. The city has been expanding inland (south) ever since the former fishing village of Newquay began to grow in the second half of the nineteenth century.

The locality in this online camera is also the venue for some of the world’s best water sports competitions, including the Boardmasters festival and surfing championships held at the resort.

The port city of Newquay, where the webcam is located, has something to offer families, couples and large groups, whether it’s a relaxing spa weekend away or a luxurious retreat.

Cornwall

The county of Cornwall, where the live broadcast comes from, is one of the most picturesque regions in all of England. Here is amazingly beautiful nature, amazing landscapes. The proximity of the sea affects the climate, making it milder and warmer, mainly in coastal regions.

The coast of England, one of which you can see well in the web camera online, has its own special and unique look. The water is quite cold at any time of the year. Cornwall is almost universally untouched by human activity. Local cities are more like villages. Many residents of England consider Cornwall to be the best local resort.

There are few places of interest in the county. Most people come here for stunning views and untouched nature. Especially these places are appreciated by artists, being inspired to write their paintings.

There is a curious place in Cornwall, the coast of which is shown by an online camera – Land’s End. It is located on Cape Land’s End. Here, right at the cliff, there is a theatre where famous artists often perform. The rest time the theatre belongs to tourists.

300 meters from the coast in one of the villages of the county there is an island – Mount St. Michael. There is a legend that tells about St. Michael, who appeared in front of the fishermen on this mountain. Later, an abbey was erected on it. The mountain can be reached on foot, but only at low tide.
