Sheringham seafront

This PTZ live camera is aimed at the coast of the English town of Sheringham. As can be clearly seen in the live broadcast, the embankment has a beach and a promenade, lined with cafes and restaurants.

Sheringham

The town of Sheringham in this webcam, is located in the northwest of Norfolk, England. Town, whose coastline you see online, includes two settlements: Upper Sheringham and Lower Sheringham.

Modern Sheringham, that you see online, is a thriving town with many shops and trades, as well as a famous market located next to the train station.

Of the attractions in the town, besides its magnificent beach in this online live camera, the Sheringham City Museum is worth attention. It is located in a former fishing lodge in the town center with this webcam. It houses a collection of unique boats built by local fishermen back in the 1880s. In addition, original lifeboats are inroduced in the halls of the museum. The highlight of the Scheringen Museum is the ivory found in the west of the city, deep in the rocks. These exhibits are over 1.5 million years old.

Another exhibition tells about Sheringham role in the world wars. For example, during the Second World War, the city, shown online, was on the front line. The exhibition dedicated to this event is called “Failures of Peace and War”. Here are aircraft and warships wreckage found on the north coast of Norfolk.

Other exhibits introduce the guests of the museum to the 19th century pharmacy.

An important religious and architectural landmark of Sheringham, that beach is well shown by webcam in live stream, is the St. Joseph’s Church. The temple was designed by the architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, who also invented the Battersea power plant, Liverpool Cathedral and the famous red telephone booth.

Saint Joseph’s Church began to be erected in 1902. By 1908, a chapel building appeared. In 1910 were built church, nave and porch. Later, the nave of the temple was expanded, and a second porch appeared. The completion of the structure fell on March 25, 1935. On the same day, the temple was consecrated.
