Birnbeck PierWeston-super-Mare , United Kingdom
Our live webcam demonstrates the famous old Birnback Pier, located in the city of Weston-Super-Mare in Bristol Bay, North Somerset. Birnbeck Pier is the only pier in the UK that connects the mainland to the small rocky Birnbeck island, located to the west of Worlebury Hill.
Birnback Pier in our live broadcast was erected between 1865 and 1867. For all the centuries of his existence, Birnback Pier has experienced both good and bad times. In its heyday, Pier was a theme park. But in 1994 it was closed for the public. Now, as can be seen in the web camera, the Pier is still closed for passage because of the danger. In December 30, 2015, one of its parts collapsed.
