Virumaa shelter

There is the nice live stream, provided by Baltic Live Cam from Virumaa animal shelter in Estonia. In our webcam you can see the pets online 24/7.

Virumaa animal shelter is one of the seven shelters that comprise Animal Shelters NGO. It is situated in the northern part of Estonia. The shelter annually hosts about 400 pets, mainly cats and dogs.

Apart from Virumaa, the NGO has 6 more shelters inViljandi, Pärnu, TallinnValga, Võru and Läänemaa, where are also our web cameras.

The shelter does huge daily work to provide the cats with the best care possible. The pets that are taken to the shelter from streets are often infected and need veterinary care. They also need treatments again parasites, vaccination and last, but not least- quality food to recover. With the help of donators every adult pet gets neutered before adoption.

Since the number of pets being born is far more than the available homes, the shelter keeps organizing campaigns about neutering pets and conducts extensive educational work in schools and local newspapers.

Every pet must have a home, and the shelter feels proud of the fact that people come to adopt a pet not only from the region, but also from other regions of the country and, sometimes, even from abroad. During the process of adoption, the shelter guarantees to take the pet back if something happens to the owners and their living conditions do not allow keeping the pet any longer. This is because the shelter cares about the pets, and is very grateful for any help!

You also can help animals from the Virumaa shelter online. Just go to the shelter’s Virumaa home page in Animalslife.net project and choose the feed they need from the list of necessary products.
