Day of the Dead or in Spanish Día de los Muertos is celebrated in Mexico between October 31st and November 2nd – All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. Celebration originated thousand years ago and took a tradition from Aztec people who considered that mourning the dead people is disrespectful. Nowadays Mexicans have a different attitude to death too. They believe that death is not the end and during the Day of the Dead their deceased relatives return to Earth. The rituals of celebration the Day of Dead are different, but carry the same message, that this day is truly a celebration of life.
