South Lower California (Baja California Sur)
South Lower California is a Mexican state located in the southern California Peninsula, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. The city of Todos Santos is particularly notable with the amazing Sierra de la Laguna nature reserve and excellent beaches: San Pedrito, Los Cerritos, Estero, Punta Lobos, La Poza and Betequitos.

The cozy town of Muleje attracts with its beaches nearby the Concepcion Bay, sport fishing, diving, and kayaking. The city of Guerrero Negro is known for its El Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve. In this city there are located the mountains and canyons of Sierra de San Francisco, included in UNESCO.
Los Cabos is a popular resort city located between the villages of San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas and the gigantic rocks with the most famous El Arco.

The climate of South Lower California is subtropical. It is warm and comfortable all year round. There is little precipitation. Fogs are frequent. In the mountains, the climate is alpine. It is cool in summer and it is cold in winter. At night the air temperature periodically drops below 0 C. In the mountains it is snowing in winter. In the east of the peninsula is rather dry. Close to the south, a dry climate becomes softer.
