Kite Paradise Paje Beach
The wide beach of Kite Paradise Paje, which is perfectly visible in our webcam, is the kitesurfing center of Zanzibar Archipelago in Tanzania. The waters of the Indian Ocean are very clean: there are almost no algae here. Often on the beach there is a low tide, when the ocean recedes, leaving a bare bottom with sea stars and hedgehogs. There are many kiting schools in the Paje.
The Paje beach in our live broadcast is located in a small village on the southeast coast of the Tanzanian island of Zanzibar. There is well developed infrastructure: souvenir shops, restaurants, shops, cafes.
The Zanzibar Archipelago is a group of islands with the most important Zanzibar island and the other major Pemba island, as well as some small islands. Zanzibar is washed by the Indian Ocean. One of the main highlights of Zanzibar in our web camera is the Turtles Island or Prison Island with the gorgeous specimens of giant turtles. It’s nice just to take a walk in the forest of exotic plants. An interesting attraction is the Monkey Park.
Zanzibar is famous for its white sandy beaches, one of which is well represented on this site online. Most of the beaches are surrounded by picturesque fishing villages.
Near the Stone Town there are Fuji and Chuini beaches. In the north, closer to the Nungwi village you can swim in the picturesque coral lagoons. This beach is one of the best on the whole archipelago. In the north-east of Zanzibar there are Matemwe, Mapenzi, Kiwengwa and Uroa beaches, beloved by diving fans. Pingwe beach, Jambiani beach and Paje beach with our online webcam are located in the southeast part of Zanzibar. Here are popular water activities and fishing.
There is the most luxurious Kendwa beach (“beach of millionaires”), located in the north. At the beach there are luxury hotels, expensive restaurants, clean white sand and extraordinarily pure ocean water.
Zanzibar is popular for its diving opportunities. The main dive center is located in the capital, the city of Stone Town. The best place for scuba diving is Boribi Reef with beautiful underwater mountains and corals.

Winter on Zanzibar lasts from June to August, and summer – from December to February. According to the temperature, summer and winter have just a slight different, about 10-15 degrees. Traveling to the archipelago is pleasant all year round. The best time to travel is late February and June-October period, when there is no rain. From October to November and from late March to May, there is rainy period on Zanzibar.
