Imam Reza Shrine

The live webcam is located in the center of one of the most revered Muslim holy sites – the Imam Reza Shrine in the Iranian city of Mashhad. As can be clearly seen on the online camera, this is a stunningly beautiful large complex of delightful structures. The main place is occupied by the tomb of Imam Reza. There are a huge library, unique mosques and other unusual buildings are located in that complex. Besides the tomb of Reza there are others imams burial places.  All the buildings are composing a ring, surrounding the main shrine – Imam Reza Mausoleum, which is perfectly visible on online webcam. Recently, a second ring with high minarets has been completed and the construction of the third one has begun.

The building of the main shrine in the live camera, started at the end of the 9th century. In the late 10th century it was destroyed. The complex was restored after one century more.

Imam Reza, which mausoleum is in  live stream, is a direct Muhammad Prophet descendant, a highly moral and deeply spiritual man with a great authority. Caliph Al-Ma’mu was very jealous to imam and gave an order to kill Reza.

In modern times, the tomb of Imam Reza in online web camera locates in a stunning Pure Temple, with the top crowned with a twenty-meter-high golden dome. There are two-tier arches of aivans around the courtyard of the temple online. There are two gates to go to the holy place: one – silver, two others – gilded.

Change your behavior if you feel its touch. The rout to the tomb has two entrances: for men and for women separately.

The complex and the mausoleum of Imam Reza you see in web camera, are the pilgrim center of all of Iran. Every year, visitors from other countries come here, making up about 20 million people a year! Muslims only can enter into the shrine – this is the law of Iran.

Climate

The climate in Mashhad online, located in the north-eastern part of the country, is subtropical and continental. In winter the air reaches +10 .. + 12 degrees, and at night it goes down to 0 ..- 2 degrees. In summer it is very hot here: +36 .. + 38 degrees, at night to +20 .. +22 degrees. Rains are usually from November to April.
