Salto

In our webcam there is one of the streets in the center of the city of Salto, located in the north-west of Uruguay by the Uruguay River. It is curious, on the opposite bank of the mentioned river there is the city of Concordia, belonging to Argentina. Two cities of neighboring countries are connected by the Salto Grande Bridge.

Salto, which center you see in the webcam is the only city in Uruguay with population more than 100 thousand people. From the capital of the country, the city of Montevideo, Salto is located at a distance of approximately 490 kilometers.

More recently, Salto, whose street is clearly visible online, lived in shipbuilding and canned meat production. Outside the city there were citrus, watermelons, grapes and tomatoes plantations. Currently, the city is actively developing tourism and trade relations with neighboring Argentina.

At the entrance to Salto, where our live stream is conducted, there is a monument in honor of Diesta Eladia, the author of many buildings in the city. Significant Salto buildings are located in the very center of the city in our online camera. For example, El Mirador is the tallest building in the city. The largest park of Salto is Sunny Park (Solari). It is interesting to see the statue of José Artigas, which is located on the largest square of Artigas.

In Salto, whose center you see a webcam, there is the thermal resort of Fuente Salto. Nearby there is the Acuamania water park and a gorgeous Spa center.

Other interesting sights in Salto are: the free city zoo Zoologico de Salto and Avenue Calle Uruguay.

Salto, where our online live camera is located, has picturesque landscapes surrounding the city: beautiful lagoons, majestic mountains, green fields. You can have a good rest on the local beaches. In the evening, numerous nightclubs, discos, bars and restaurants open their doors.

Several famous cultural figures of Uruguay were born In Salto. For example, Enrique Amorim and Horacio Quiroga. Also, there were many legendary football players born here: José Leandro Andrade, Pedro Virgilio Rocha, Luis Alberto Suárez and Edinson Cavani.

The most important and highest buildings are located in the center of Salto, which you see in the online webcam. It is always crowded and noisy here. Quiet and calm areas are located outside the city.

Climate
