In front of you in the online camera there is the most popular ski resort of the Czech Republic – Špindlerův Mlýn. The complex in this live stream is located in the Krkonoše National Park, at the source of the great Elbe River (Labe) and covers an area of about 77 sq. km.

The smallest point of Špindlerův Mlýn is 700 meters above sea level, and the maximum is 1235 m.

The resort, where the online broadcast is conducted from, have ski slopes of different difficulty levels. The ski center is popular among both: experienced and beginners’ skiers and snowboarders.
Špindlerův Mlýn, well shown in this webcam, mainly attracts Czechs as well as their closest neighbors: Poles and Germans. Although, recently tourists from Russia and other European countries come here.

The first mention of the resort in this online live camera appeared in 1516, associated with the silver extraction in its vicinity. And the first map of the area is dated 1569.

Close the end of the 18th century, the city, whose resort is visible in a live broadcast, got the name of Špindlerův Mlýn, that in Czech means “Špindlerův Mill” in honor of the Špindler’s family mill located on the Elba River. At the same time, the resort where the webcam is located is gradually turning into a ski resort.

The center of Špindlerův Mlýn is the white bridge over the Elba River, built in 1911. Nowadays it is considered a symbol of the resort in this live stream camera.

Špindlerův Mlýn, the ski slopes of which you see in the webcast online, is a universal resort. There is something to do for children, adults, beginner and experienced skiers and snowboarders. Besides, the center hosts international and European sports competitions.

The complex also has everything necessary for a great long winter pastime: bars and restaurants, water parks, spa and wellness centers, ski and snowboard school, winter equipment rental center.

All tracks in the Špindlerův Mlýn resort are well-conditioned, processed every evening. If there isn’t enough snow, their work start snow cannons producing artificial snow.

The winter season in the Špindlerův Mlýn resort usually starts in December and ends in April.
