How to get from Dortmund to the airport and back
From the airport in this online webcam to the central Station of Dortmund and back every hour runs AirportExpress bus. Public transport goes non-stop during 25 minutes. It is important to note that the Dortmund Bus Station is located next to the Dortmund Central Station (Dortmund Hauptbahnhof), and the AirportShuttle bus also leaves from the airport to the nearest Holzwickede train station (from where you can take the train to Dortmund), which also goes to the destination point.
To the city center of Dortmund is also possible to go by taxi. Another, more budget option is by taking bus number 440 from the airport in live stream to Aplerbeck station, which is the last stop of the U49 metro line.
It’s easy to take the U-Bahn U47 tram heading towards Dortmund Hauptbahnhof via Stadtgarten. So you can either get from Dortmund bus terminal to AirportExpress or Dortmund Hauptbahnhof to go down and take the U-Bahn U47 to the final Aplerbeck.
After arriving, you should cross the road in the direction of U-Bahn, where there will be a bus stop No. 440, which will take you to the airport in the web camera. You can also get from Dortmund to the Holzwickede train station, where there are buses running every 15 minutes to the airport.
