Shree Jagannath ji Mandir temple

The Jagannath Temple in the webcam is a religious building dedicated to the Hindu god Jagannath or Lord Krishna in the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat, India. The live stream temple is located in an area called Jamalpur. It was founded by Sadhu Sarangdasji about 450 years ago.

The sacred building in the online camera gained fame due to its annual Ratha Yatra chariot festival, the third most important and largest after the Ratha Yatra in the city of Puri. The temple in the online broadcast is open from 4:30 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 21:00 every day.

Sri Jagannath, the broadcast of which you see in the webcam, is one of the most visited in Ahmedabad. In addition to the magnificent image of Lord Krishna, this building has idols of the goddess Subhadra and Lord Baladeva. Many believers come to the holy place in the online camera every day in the hope of receiving the blessing of the Lord.

Ahmedabad

Rich in culture and history, the city of Ahmedabad, where the live broadcast is coming from, was the first in India to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage City. The largest city in the state of Gujarat, where the temple is located in the online live camera, is a lively ethnically diverse center that harmoniously combines the architecture of mosques with ancient history and modern advanced design.

Ahmedabad, where the live stream is conducted from, is divided into two parts by the Sabarmati River. On the east coast is a magnificent old town with attractive winding streets that reflect tradition and culture.

It is a walled area, with neighborhoods representing an ancient system of communal housing. In the distant past, the city was surrounded by a ten-kilometer wall with 12 gates, 189 bastions and more than 6,000 loopholes. Now all that remains of it is the gate, decorated with amazing carvings and calligraphy. While the eastern part of the city enchants with the remains of the ancient world, gates and buildings of the colonial era, the western part is home to a new city filled with street food stalls and colorful bazaars. In addition, there are educational institutions, entertainment centers and business districts.

Ahmedabad, where this live webcam is located, was called Karnavati in the past, but in 1411 Sultan Ahmed Shah from the Muzaffarid dynasty conquered the city from King Karandev I and gave it a new name – Ahmedabad. Under Ahmed Shah, architects combined Hindu craftsmanship with Persian architecture to create a unique Indo-Saracenic style that is reflected in many of the city’s mosques on live stream.

Ahmedabad with the temple in the online camera was the capital of the state of Gujarat from 1960 to 1970. But still on its territory is the Supreme Court of Gujarat and the center of commerce of the state.

The city where the live stream is coming from is also called the “Manchester of the East” due to the fact that the textile industry that has led Ahmedabad into the 21st century flourishes here. He also gained notoriety for the grand celebrations during the Navratri festival (an open-air cultural and spiritual event).
