A beautiful panoramic web camera is located on the territory of a 5-star hotel “Xanadu” near the Mediterranean Sea in the Turkish city of Belek. Belek

Nowadays, there are ruins of temples and fortress walls, theatre and the largest stadium on the Asia Minor territory.

If you go ahead from the Eastern Gate of Perge you will arrive to the remains of ancient city of Sillyon. In 1969 Sillyon was strong affected by a landslide demolished part of the amphitheater.

The giant Aspendos amphitheater, located 18 km from Belek, has been preserved almost completely till our days. On his stage there are events still hold here. Down the mountainside behind the amphitheater there are the market square, antique baths and a basilica ruins. A bit below, on the plain you can see the largest aqueduct in Anatolia.

The Aspendos is located in the lower flow of the Köprüçay River. At its narrowest river point there is the ancient Roman Oluk bridge 27 meters high. The Köprüçay River is a famous rafting place. The waterway has a length of about 11 km.

Climate

The summer season in Belek starts in mid-May. The hottest time is from July to August. The most favorable time for vacation is from September to October. You can often swim even in November. Winter in Belek is mild, many sunny days. But in the evenings it becomes much cooler.
