Panda
The treasure of China, panda is a wild animal in an online webcam. This rare animal was found out just in the 19th century. Panda is a bear and is a member of the Guinness Book.
As you can see well in live stream cam, the black and white panda is a furry fat animal up to 1.80 meters tall. Adult panda weighs about 160 kg. The panda’s diet is almost 100% of bamboo. Pandas eat for almost 12 hours.
Pandas are phlegmatic and like loneliness. As you can see in the online webcam quite often, mostly pandas are sleeping during the day.
In the mating season panda females choose males. Pandas that you see in live camera, are great mothers; they constantly care for babies up to 3 years.
In the world in total, in the wild, live about 1600 pandas. It is strictly prohibited to hunt these rare animals.
Smithsonian’s National Zoological Park
The Smithsonian National Zoo is located in the United States of America, near Washington. The zoo has gained fame for its wonderful pandas, which you can easily watch in live webcam.
The area of the Smithsonian’s National Zoological Park online is 66 hectares. In recent years, the zoo is increasingly engaged in the breeding of rare wild animals’ species.
The National park with this online camera, has another territory located in Virginia. There are rare animals: maned wolf and the Saharan oryx from the Red Book.
The disappearing giant pandas, which webcam perfectly demonstrates, came to the National Zoo in 1972. In the late summer of 2013, there was born panda Bao-Bao, the public favorite.
In addition to cute pandas, perfectly shown in the online camera, there are elephants, lions, tigers, giraffes, hippos, sloths, smoky leopards, armadillos, zebras, giant anteaters, flamingos, chameleons, boas, crocodiles, orangutans, and many other wild animals.
There is a special site in the Smithsonian National Zoological Park iwith thie live footage, called the “Children’s Farm”. In this area, little visitors follow with interest: young donkeys, pigs from Ossabo Island, alpacas and Nigerian dwarf goats.
It is important to note – the entrance to the Smithsonian’s National Zoological Park, where the live broadcast comes from, is completely free. There are various activities held in the zoological garden. All the funds from these activities are used for the animals benefit. So, the most unusual event is “Snore and Roar”, which takes place in the preiod from June to September. This event is a night excursion at the zoo, as well as spending the all night in the park in tents and sleeping bags.
