The amazing Isafjordur is the real edge of the country. A very unusual music festival – Aldrei for eg suður, symbolizing the patriotism of the local population, who does not move to Reykjavik, but lives and fond of music on the edge of the earth, in the city of Isafjordur.
The surroundings of Isafjordur deserve special attention. Nearby there are the green valleys of Tungudalur and Engedalur. Not far, near the town there is Látrabjarg – a steep mountain range. There are many birds live on its rocks.
Impressive cascading, wide waterfall Dinyandi, located on the opposite shore of the fjord, is easy to see, taking a tour on a cruise ship. The view from the top of the waterfall is particularly beautiful.

Isafjordur has a subarctic climate. The summer is cool, the air temperature is within +10 C. Winter, thanks to the sea, is quite mild. The average air temperature is -5 C, very rarely in January there may be frosts up to -15 С.
