The webcam is directed at the Matosinhos Beach or Praia de Matosinhos, the largest beach located near the central part of Porto in the town of Matosinhos: between the cargo port and the Castelo do Queijo castle, in the north of Portugal.
As can be clearly seen in the live broadcast, the beach area of Matosinhos is a long stretch of sand.
