This webcam is aimed at Chavain Boulevard – the central pedestrian street of Yoshkar-Ola, named after the great poet and founder of the national literature and poetry of the Mari El Republic, Sergey Chavain. In the background of the live broadcast there is Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The boulevard in the online camera starts on the embankment of Bruges and ends on Victory Boulevard, crossing the entire city and leading into the park of culture and recreation.

As can be clearly seen in the live camera, the territory of the walking area is perfectly landscaped: lawns with flowers, cascades of fountains, benches, cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops.

Yoshkar-Ola

The city of Yoshkar-Ola, where the online stream is coming from, is the capital of the Republic of Mari El.

Over the past decades, Yoshkar-Ola in this live camera, has changed. Here appeared new Kremlin, Bavarian castles, the Doge’s Palace and the Bruges Embankment – a small corner of Northern Europe in the Middle Volga region.

On the left side of the Malaya Kokshaga River, on the Bruges Embankment, there are gingerbread houses and castles. Now it is a favorite walking spot for locals and tourists. The Embankment of Bruges is a mixture of architectural styles and subjects. There are copies of the Borovitskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin and the Gothic Wedding Palace.

In front of the National Presidential School of Arts stands a monument to Empress Elizabeth Petrovna.

In the center of Patriarch’s Square there is an elegant chapel of Peter and Fevronia and a monument to Patriarch Alexy II, the founder of the Mari diocese. The building, similar to the Bavarian Neuschwanstein Castle, houses the Republican Puppet Theatre.

Two bridges across the river connect Bruges Embankment and Voskresenskaya Embankment with the new Cathedral of the Annunciation, which you can see in webcam online. To the south of it stretches the Amsterdam Embankment – a meeting place for local artists.
