El Cotillo
The webcam in El Cotillo shows a coastal town in the municipality of La Oliva, the northern part of the island of Fuerteventura in the province of Las Palmas.
The locality in the online broadcast is surrounded by the best beaches in Europe, including bays with crystal clear waters and beaches with fine sand, known as “la Concha” and “los Lagos”. In the live camera there is the Muellito beach (Playa del Muellito).
Of the historical sights of El Cotillo in the online camera, the Torre del Toston tower is the most outstanding monument of the village in the webcam. It was built in 1700 to protect the coast from pirates coming from France, England and North Africa.

Another interesting city to visit on the island in live stream is Betancuria, a historical area formed at the beginning of the 15th century. Its main attraction is the Church-Cathedral of Santa Maria.

The closest city to the capital of the island in the webcam is Caleta de Fuste, which is famous for its convenient, artificially created beaches. The city has an unusual round fortress Castillo de Fuste of the 18th century.
The La Oliva region will delight fans of history and colonial architecture. It is worth visiting the Colonel’s House (Casa de los Coroneles). In the 18th century it housed the military governors of the island. In front of the house there is the Center for Canarian Art “Casa Mane”.
Traveling in Fuerteventura online, you should visit the small uninhabited island of Lobos, which has the status of a reserve.
And the Jandia Peninsula will delight you with gorgeous beaches and picturesque sand dunes. The Playa de Sotavento Beach, which is 28 km long, is especially famous among windsurfers.
