There is a very interesting online stream on an aviary with wolves that live in the International Wolf Center in Minnesota, USA. On air you can watch these intelligent predators. Often the wolves that you see in our webcam are hiding, but if you look closely, you will catch them under the trees.

Wolf

A wolf or a gray wolf (lat. Canis lupus), whose representatives you see well in a webcam, is a carnivorous mammal of the canine family. Wolves, which you see online, live in fairly large areas: Asia, Europe, and North America (from Alaska to Mexico). In countries such as: Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Baltic countries, Scandinavia, the Balkans, Korea, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and the north of the Arabian Peninsula. Wolves, demonstrated in live camera, settle in the tundra, steppes, and forest-steppes, in the taiga zone and at the foot of the mountains.

The length of the wolf’s body, as you can see online, is about 1-1.5 m. The wolf’s females are slightly smaller: from about 80 cm to 1.20 m. An adult male wolf weighs 550-70 kg, a female weighs about 45 kg. The tail has a length of up to 40 cm. The withers height of a wolf is from 60 to 80 cm. Their coat has a gray-brown color, which can be clearly seen in the live webcam. Over the years, the fur brightens. Some species of wolves have a light color wool, and sometimes there are even red and black representatives.

The fur of a wild animal is rather thick, long, shed twice a year. The wolves that online camera shows well are night animals, real hunters. Usually they announce their presence on the territory with a shrill howl. Wolves in the live broadcast, have excellent hearing and excellent sense of smell. These active predators run fast, chasing their victim. The diet of wolves consists mainly of: roe deer, deer, wild boar, moose, hare, gopher, fox, sometimes they can attack domestic animals, for example: cows, goats, sheep and so on. Wolves also can eat vegetables and fruits, for example: watermelon or melon. In rare cases, wolf, snown in web camera, can attack humans.

During the day, an adult wolf, displayed in the live cam, eats about 3 kg of meat food and drinks up to 1 liter of water.

The wolves shown in webcam are unique wild animals, they are monogamous and are devoted to one partner until the end of their lives. True life partners form pairs for a very long period, until the death of the one of the partner.

Wolves, which you can see in online footage, live in packs, family groups. The flock is headed by a real alpha male and his wife- the alpha female.

The breeding period of wolves in the webcam, is between the January and April, depends on the habitation territory. The female carries a little one up to 65 days. Once usually born from 3 to 13 wolf cubs. All flock members feed babies and take care about them.

The adult life starts at the age of 3 – 4 years. Old age comes in 10 – 12 years. The wolves lifespan is a maximum of 15 years.
