Port of Serifos
This webcam is located in the port of the island of Serifos, in the Aegean Sea and belonging to the Cyclades. The capital of the island is the city of Chora. Other large settlements are Kutalas, Megalo Livadi, Kentarchos and Ganema.
Serifos, from where the live broadcast is conducted, is covered with bare, undulating mountains with small fertile valleys. Closer to the coast there are the mountains are an endless chain of rocks bordering openwork bays.

Hora is divided into Upper (Ano Chora) and Lower (Kato Chora). Agios Athanasios and the neoclassical city hall flaunt in the central square of Pano Piazza in Ano Chora.
Kato Chora is a Cycladic labyrinth of white-painted streets lined with flower-filled houses and courtyards.

The climate on the island of Serifos is typically temperate Mediterranean. Summer is hot and dry. The air temperature in July reaches +34C. Winter is mild and short. In January it is never colder than +9C.
