Bishkek in the webcam is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and the largest city in the country in terms of the number of inhabitants (more than 1 million).

The wide Ala-Too square is a traditional place for solemn city events and folk festivals. It also served as the main stage of the Tulip Revolution in 2005 and the riots in April 2010. In 2011, a 10-meter equestrian statue of the hero of the folk epic Manas the Magnanimous, who united the Kyrgyz, was installed in the center of the parade ground. From the south side of the square, the bronze Chingiz Aitmatov who received world recognition for his stories and short stories in Russian and Kyrgyz, “looks” at him.
