The hippos limbs are short and strong. This allows them to hold a massive body.

Hippopotamus has massive large jaws that can open up to 150 degrees.

The life span of wild animals in our webcam is 40-50 years. In zoos – up to 60 years. Hippo females reach maturity at 5 years, and males at 7-8 years. The bearing of the cub lasts 8 months. Childbirth happen in water. Usually there is one baby only.

Hippos are vegetarians who feed a grass.

Hippos, several individuals of which our webcam shows online, are quite aggressive animals. There are cases of humans were attacked.

Hippos have almost no enemies in the wild. Over the past 15 years, hippos have gradually disappeared due to human faults. Therefore, the relevance of preserving this species of wild animal is more important than ever.
