This webcam is located on the observation deck of the historic Dorset Tower. Online in front of you there is a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view, 142 meters above Bay Lake, north of the village of Dorset.

The park located at Dorset Tower, which is shown by an online camera, is served by the small town of Algonquin Highlands.

The original tower, where the live broadcast is coming from, was built in 1922. Its height was 25 meters and it was used as a fire observation tower until 1961. The current tower was built in 1967. Its height is 30 meters.

Tourists who come here from different parts of the world can climb to the observation deck, where there is a webcam, located 142 meters above Bay Lake, and enjoy the view from it to the treetops.

The Dorset Lookout Tower, where the live stream comes from, has hotels, picnic areas, restrooms, a tourist information booth, a gift shop and a walking trail.

Algonquin Highlands

Algonquin Highlands, home to the tower with this webcam, is a town located in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada. The northeastern part of the town is part of Algonquin Provincial Park.

The city was formed by the merger of Stanhope and Sherborne. Later, such settlements as McClintock, Livingstone, Lawrence and Nightingale joined the alliamce. It was thereafter briefly known as the Township of Sherborne, Stanhope, McClintock, Livingstone, Lawrence and Nightingale until it was renamed to its current name in March 2001.
