In front of you there is the online HD web camera with panorama of the small Hungarian town of Esztergom. Having played an important historical role, this city is rightfully considered the cradle of Hungarian statehood.

Esztergom, from where our live broadcast is conducted, is one of the oldest Hungarian cities. In the past, Esztergom in our webcam was the political, cultural and economic center of the state.
Currently, the city where the webcam is located serves as the residence of the archbishop – primacy of Hungary.

Esztergom carefully preserves the old city and other historical and architectural attractions. The most important of them are: the Royal Palace of the Arpad dynasty of the 10th century (now there is a museum), the Primatial Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary Assumed Into Heaven and St Adalbert (the largest Catholic church in Hungary). This church was erected on the spot where in the 11th century the glorious King Saint Stephen built the first Christian church in the country. Several times the basilica burned. The temple got its modern look in 1869. The church is located on the high bank of the Danube River, where there is a viewing platform that offers beautiful views of Esztergom in our live camera.

In the city with our live view webcam there is an interesting 19th century Maria Valeria Bridge connecting two countries – Hungary and Slovakia, passing through two cities: Esztergom in our live stream camera and Štúrovo. The bridge was destroyed in 1920 and 1940, but was rebuilt later in 2001.

An interesting attraction of Esztergom, which is shown by our online camera, is Szechenyi Squar – the central square of the city, surrounded by old houses of the 18-19th centuries.

Tourists are interested in the Vizivaros Parish Church of 1738 and the Archbishop’s Palace of 1882 with a Christian Museum representing interesting works of Middle Ages masters.

The warmest month is July, with an average air temperature of about 21 C. January is the coldest month when the average temperature drops to -1.2 C.
