Galilee

The webcam overlooking the fishing village of Galilee is located in the Port of Galilee, in the New England region, Rhode Island. Not far from the coast in the online camera there are excellent seafood restaurants, shops, hotels and two municipal beaches of Roger Wheeler and Salty Brine.

Port of Galilee, which you see in the webcam, is “home” to numerous charter fishing boats and excursions. In addition, the harbor in the live camera is the main center of year-round ferry service to Block Island and the city of New Shoreham.

Rhode Island

Rhode Island (The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations), from where the live broadcast is conducted, is one of the states of New England, located in the northeastern United States, off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The capital and largest city is Providence, the view of which is also broadcasted in the webcam on the Baltic Live Cam website.

The highest point of Rhode Island, where the online camera is located, is Jerimot Hill (247 meters). It is located almost on the border with the state of Connecticut.

One of the most popular outdoor activities in Rhode Island in this webcam is hiking. The most popular of them: The North South Trail Block Islands Greenways, Newport’s Cliff Walk, Coventry Greenway, Arcadia Management Area Trails.

As mentioned earlier, the capital of the state in the online camera is the city of Providence, where tourists often drop by. It is especially good here in summer, during the annual festival “Lights on the Water” (“Floating Lights Festival”), established in 1994 and which has become a symbol of the city’s revival. Vibrant performances adorn Providence from May to October. In the evening, torches and bonfires are lit on three city rivers, and music plays on the banks, vocal groups, circus artists, magicians and acrobats perform.

Another interesting city to visit in Rhode Island, where the live broadcast is from, is Newport, where festivals of classical music, jazz and folklore are organized.

Of the state attractions in the online camera, the most interesting are the Tennis Hall of Fame, the First Baptist Church founded by Roger Williams in 1638, the oldest topiary park in the United States, Roger Williams Park and the Providence Zoo.

We would like to dwell in more detail on Roger Williams Victorian Park in the state capital, which opened its doors in 1878. It occupies a huge area of ​​land with water channels, gardens, gazebos, the Village carousel, the Museum of Natural History, the Planetarium and its main pearl – the oldest Roger Williams Zoo in the country, operated from 1872. The zoo has created a natural habitat for a variety of animals, such as elephants, giraffes, snow leopards, giant anteaters, kangaroos, pandas, gibbons and others.
