Not far from the church chapel there are the tombs of Duke Henry I of Brabant, his wife Matilda and their daughter Maria. Gottfried II, Count of Leuven is also buried nearby.

Leuven Botanical Garden

In Leuven, where the online feed comes from, there is the oldest Botanical Garden in Belgium. The first garden was founded by the University of Leuven in 1738. In 1819, on the site with Capuchin monastery ruins, another botanical garden was opened. Today, this park is home for nearly 800 different plant species.
