In our webcam you can see one of the main modern sights of Liepaja – the Great Amber Concert Hall, built in 2015.

The new Lielais dzintars concert hall, shown live, is the venue for regional cultural events and activities. Here are located: Liepaja Symphony Orchestra, Liepaja Music School, art and design secondary schools.

“Great Amber”, where the online camera is directed to, covers an area of ​​14 126 sq. M. meters, its height is eight floors. The construction in live camera has elements of reinforced concrete, metal and glass. In total, there are three concert halls in the building: a large hall for 1000 spectators, a chamber hall for 200 seats and an experimental stage for 120 seats, complementing the art space Civita Nova on the 1st floor, a mirror hall on the 6th floor, a cafe and a restaurant.

The architectural concept of the concert hall in live feed, is created by the great Austrian architect, Professor Volker Giencke, is based on the symbol of Liepaja and the entire Baltic region – amber. The warm color of the building evokes associations with this natural stone.

Online showed Lielais Dzintars acoustics and lighting have been developed by such renowned experts as Professor Karlheinz Müller (Müller-BBM, Germany) and Bartenbach (Germany) under the guidance of Professor Christian Bartenbach.

The multifunctional building, perfectly shown in the live camera, has won prestigious international awards. This modern building is an ideal venue for cultural events, exhibitions, conferences and corporate events.
