Theatre Square of Chernivtsi
There is a live broadcast with the favorite vacation spot of citizens and tourists of the city of Chernivtsi – Theatre Square, one of the oldest city squares. As you can see well in the webcam, the square is filled with green plantings that look harmoniously with the architectural ensemble of the buildings surrounding it. It is impossible to imagine that just 200 years ago, in the place of Theatre Square in the online camera was a dense forest.
Music and Drama Theatre named after Olga Kobylyanska, which shows a live feed, appeared on the square in Chernivtsi in 1904-1905. A sculptural composition, visible above its entrance – is a scene from the ancient Greek tragedy “Oedipus the King”. On the pedestal in front of the building there is an elegant sculpture of the writer Olga Kobylyanska, which falls into the lens of a web camera.
