Troyes, where the live broadcast comes from, is the ancient capital of the French province of Champagne.

In the center of Troyes, which area is shown on the webcam, there are many beautiful churches, four of which stand out in particular: the Church of Saint Panteleimon, the Church of Sainte-Madeleine of the 12th century, the Saint–Jean-au-Marché, the Basilica of Saint Urbain.

In the old quarter de la Cité (quartier de la Cité) there are three Troyes museums and a large number of old buildings surrounding the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul (Cathedrale St-Pierre-et-St-Paul).

The Abbey of Saint-Loup is currently home to the Museum of Fine Arts.

Along the streets and alleys of the old town of Troyes in this online camera there are ancient wooden houses.

After a fire in 1524, the city was rebuilt, so there are many rich palaces of the Renaissance in Troyes in the webcam. For example, the 16th century Morua mansion, located next to the Church of St. Panteleimon. Currently, it is the House of Labor and Technical Thought (Maison de l’Outil et de la Pensee Ouvriere).

The most unusual tourist attraction in Troyes with this online camera, is the Specialty Museum, which houses tools made by artisans and workers from the 17th and 19th centuries.

The boulevards surrounding the city, where the live broadcast is taking place, form a ring that resembles a champagne cork. Also, this shape is similar to a sock. Interestingly, since the end of the Middle Ages, the manufacture of stockings and socks, as well as woolen goods, has been one of the most developed industrial branches of Troyes. In the 16th century Hotel de Vauluisan castle you can see old looms and raw materials for making clothes. Part of the premises in the castle is reserved for the Vauluisant Museum. The same building houses the Historical Museum of Troyes and Champagne with a collection of simple religious art from the Troyes school, fragments of stained glass windows and antique ceramic floor tiles from the cellar.

Champagne

The Champagne province, where the webcam is located, is a beautiful region surrounded by hills planted with vineyards. The famous Champagne Houses are located on its territory.

The capital of Champagne is Reims. Its most striking attraction is the Reims Cathedral – one of the main examples of Gothic art in France. Since 1991, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tourists are drawn to the picturesque villages and wineries of the Montagne de Reims conservation area. It is interesting to visit the village of Hautvilliers – the birthplace of Dom Perignon, which gave the name to the famous champagne.
