Partenit embankment
The webcam on the Partenit Embankment shows the pedestrian promenade in the resort village of Partenit. The coast in the online camera starts from Partenitskaya Street and goes in a southerly direction to the Bear Mountain (Medved’-gora). The length of the promenade in the live broadcast is a little less than one kilometer.
The Partenit embankment, which you see in the web camera, is popular in the summer season: it is quite crowded here. Along the promenade in the online broadcast there are beaches, summer cafes and bars. The Partenit embankment in the live camera is a favorite place for walking in the evenings for both townspeople and tourists.
Partenit promenade partially crosses the territory of the sanatorium “Crimea”, and the passage in this part in the morning and in the afternoon is paid for all guests, except for the guests of the sanatorium. In the evening, you can go for free.
From the embankment in the online camera opens a picturesque view of the Bear Mountain and the Black Sea.
Partenit village
Partenit, where the live broadcast is conducted from, is located on the southern coast of the Crimea peninsula, near the Bear Mountain, between Alushta and Yalta.
In the village where the online camera is located, there are many interesting sights. In the center of Partenit, there is the Paradise Park with beautiful landscaping, gazebos, fountains, many garden trees and a unique 200-year-old grove of olives, which houses the main exposition of the park in the ancient Greek style. The park offers a stunning panorama of the sea.
At a short distance from Paradise, there is a stone museum with more than 1000 exhibits. The collection includes natural stones, processed stones, paintings and products, ancient fossils of animal and insect parts. A visit to the museum will plunge you into the history of the earth many millions of years ago.
In Partenit, where the online broadcast comes from, there is an excellent indoor year-round dolphinarium – one of the best in Crimea. Here you can not only swim with dolphins, but also take part in dolphin therapy.
On the outskirts of the village of Partenit with the embankment in the online live camera, under Mount Ayu-Dag or Bear Mountain, in the sanatorium of the Ministry of Defense, one of the ancient local attractions has been preserved – the ruins of the Church of Peter and Paul of the 10th century. The altar, part of the mosaic and the tomb have survived to this day. In the 90s, a pavilion was built here for better preservation of the exhibits.
A striking natural attraction of Partinit in this web camera is Medvedj Gora or Ayu-Dag – a failed volcano. For a thousand years it was active, but the eruption never took place.
In Partenit, which promenade you can see online, there are many wonderful beaches covered with small and soft pebbles. The entrance to the sea is rather shallow, without sharp drops. The best beaches are owned by the village’s sanatoriums. On their territory there is everything you need: umbrellas, sun loungers, massage tables, showers and changing rooms. City beaches are wilder and less equipped.
