Saturraran Beach

In a webcam there is Saturraran Beach, located in the Spanish city of Mutriku, municipality of Gipuzkoa, Basque Country.

The picturesque bay of Ondarroa, where Saturraran beach is located, shown in the online camera, separates it from the neighboring beach zone of Arrigorri, which is located on the border of two provinces: Vizcaya and Gipuzkoa, near the Mijoa River.

The golden sands of the coastline, where the live broadcast comes from, extend for 300 meters to the beautiful cliffs. The width of the beach in the webcam is about 90 m, but it changes due to the tides.

Playa de Saturraran Beach, perfectly shown in the online camera, ends at the building known as Saturraran Zahar. This is a beautiful, unique and only 18th-century farmhouse on the coast of Gipuzkoa.

The eastern part of Saturraran coast over the rocks reaches the tidal surface, which continues along the coast of Gipuzkoa. There are two small bays with clean and clear water.

To the east, in the direction of Mutriru, stretches the area known as the “Seven Beaches”, Siete Playas (Zazpi Hondartza) – an open space under the rocks.

Satrararan Beach, which this live camera is aimed at, deserves special mention for its picturesque cliffs. It is considered one of the most beautiful and selected beaches on the Cantabrian Sea, so many tourists prefer to make pictures with this splendid place.

Basque Country

The Basque Country (Basque or Euskadi), the coast of which this online camera demonstrates, is located in the northeast of Spain and is divided into provinces: Biscay, Alava and Gipuzkoa.

The capital of the Basque Country is the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz. Largest cities are: Bilbao and San Sebastian, the view of which is also captured in a live feed on the Baltic Live Cam website.

The beaches of Basque Country, one of them just shows an online camera, especially popular among surfers. The best of them are located in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the vicinity of San Sebastian: for example, the beaches of La Concha and Saraouts.

In Bilbao, all beach areas are scattered outside the city. The most famous of the beaches is Las Arenas, where surfers gather.

There are many national parks on the territory of Basque Country with the coast online. For example, the biosphere reserve of “Urdaibai”, where was filmed the popular series “Game of Thrones.”

Another Park – Urkiola Natural Park is located on the slopes of the Duranguesado Mountain range. Near the town of Dela in the province of Gipuzkoa there is a hiking route Ruta del Flysch – one of the most beautiful in Spain.

Of the historical sites of Basque Country, it is worth mentioning the largest church in Basque country – Cathedral of the Good Shepherd and the Miramar Palace, the former summer residence of the royal family, located in San Sebastian.

In the capital of Basque Country, the city of Victoria-Gasteiz, tourists go to enjoy the architecture. In the center there is the gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria of the 14th century (Santa Maria Plaza) with paintings of Rubens. In the Church of San Pedro Apostle (Fundadora de las Siervas de Jesus Kalea) is buried local famous people, and 9 km from Vitoria-Gasteiz there is 11th century Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Estíbaliz.

A striking symbol of the city of Bilbao is the Guggenheim Museum in a building in the form of a flower and a spaceship. At the entrance there is a glass bridge over the Nervion River.

The Way of St. James runs through Bilbao, for this reason there are a large number of cathedrals in the city: the Gothic Cathedral of St. James of the 14th century, the church of San Nicolas de Bari and others.
