Port L’Île-Rousse

The live stream shows the picturesque rocky port of the small Corsican town of L’Île-Rousse. The harbor demonstrated online is home to the ancient Genoese tower, the symbol of the city. Since the beginning the port has been used for the export of olive oil and wine. Also now, it thrives in our day.

L’Île-Rousse, you see in the webcam, is located in the Balagne region – one of the most popular resort regions of Corsica. The mountains that shield the city from the north winds have a beneficial effect on L’Île-Rousse climate.

L’Île-Rousse, whose port is broadcasted live, is an atypical Corsican city. There are beautiful palm trees, luxury shops, charming flower gardens and huge pink hotels.

All roads in the city of L’Ile-Rousse with a harbor in an online camera lead to the square of Pascal Paoli, in the center of which there is a beautiful fountain crowned with a bust of the “Father of the Fatherland” – Pascal Paoli, who built the port in this live stream. At the entrance to the square there is a covered market of the 19th century, and to the west there is the dark façade of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Opposite the promenade in L’Ile-Rousse, there is a crowded city beach, reminiscent of the Cote d’Azur resorts. On the north coast of the city there is Bodri beach.

Other sights in L’Île-Rousse in the webcam are: Church of L’Immaculée Conception de Marie (Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary) 1892, Eglise de la Miséricorde (Church of Mercy or Monastic), Phare de la Pietra (Pietra lighthouse) 19th century, Jardin de l ‘hôtel Napoléon Bonaparte (Garden of the Hotel Napoleon Bonaparte), Tour de L’Île-Rousse – Genoa tower on the islet of île de la Pietra, Tour de Scalu (Tower of Scalu) 17th century, Monument aux morts de Volti (monument in honor of the fallen during two world wars: 1914 – 1918 and 1939 – 1945).
