The most interesting old apartment buildings include: a corner house at the exit from Franciskanska Street (Rynek 5), formerly called “curia pretoriana”. On the northern facade there is the apartment building No.27, owned by Wojciech (Adalbert) Portius, a wealthy Scottish citizen, city councilor and founder of many architectural and artistic projects in the city (the house was built in the 16th and rebuilt in the 17th centuries).
