Palace Park Charlottenburg

In the webcam there is Palace Park of Charlottenburg, one of the greatest architectural monuments of Berlin in the Baroque style. Initially, the palace itself, which can also be seen online, was a luxurious gift from the Prussian King Frederick I to his wife Sophia Charlotte of Hanover. Later, it turned into a royal summer residence with a beautiful park online.

Charlottenburg Palace in the online camera – a pearl of architectural and landscape art, was badly damaged during the Second World War. It was completely in ruins, and there were no funds for its restoration. But fortunately, the landmark in the live broadcast was saved. The palace was restored for several decades.

Nowadays, Charlottenburg in a web camera is one of the most popular tourist places in Berlin, because there really is something to see in the palace. Citizens prefer slow walks in the palace park shown online.

Charlottenburg Palace park

The Palace Park to the live webcam deserves special attention. It also changed its appearance more than once, while always remaining beautiful. Initially, the park area in the live broadcast had an appearance in accordance with the French traditions, but later the fashion for the British landscape began to prevail. New garden ponds appeared, hills overgrown with lush greenery were poured, and secluded grottoes were equipped. They also built a small pavilion in the form of an Italian summer house, where today an interesting collection of paintings works.

Castles and palaces of Berlin

Berlin, where the live stream is coming from, is rich in ancient castles and palaces that remind of the former splendor of the Prussian rulers.

In addition to the beautiful and significant Charlottenburg Castle with a park in the online camera, the Berlin City Palace, the main residence of the Prussian kings and German Kaisers in the capital of the state, is of great historical value and tourist interest. In 1950 it was blown up. Currently, the construction of the City Royal Palace in Berlin is underway again. Behind the historical facade, it is planned to place a modern cultural and scientific center, the Humboldt Brothers Forum.

Bellevue Palace, also located in Berlin in this live camera, was built in 1786 as the summer residence of Prince August Ferdinand, the younger brother of King Frederick II of Prussia. Now Bellevue Palace is the residence of the Federal President of Germany.

Another interesting property – the Glienicke Palace served as the summer palace of Prince Karl of Prussia. The magnificent building is surrounded by a beautiful English park where the Glienicke Casino stands.

Of great interest to the guests of the German capital, where the live broadcast is conducted from, is the Grunewald Hunting Castle, the oldest castle in Berlin. It was built in 1542 on the shore of the Grunewaldsee lake. The citadel exhibits a collection of German and Dutch paintings of the 15th-19th centuries, among which there are several paintings by Lucas Cranach the Elder.
