This webcam is aimed at one of the most famous sights of Volgograd – Mamayev Kurgan, located on a hill. The monument shown in the online broadcast is a Monument-ensemble to the heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad during the Second World War.
The Mamayev Kurgan complex, which you see in live camera, includes a high-relief composition “Memory of Generations”, square to “Those who Fought to Death” “Alley of the Pyramidal Poplars”, Ruined Walls, Monumental relief, “Square to the Heroes”, “Square of Sorrow”, Hall of Military Glory, Military Memorial Cemetery, Memorial Arboretum at the base of Mamayev Kurgan and the famous monument of Motherland Calls statue, which rises in a webcam. More than 30,000 soldiers are buried on Mamayev Kurgan.
The memorial, perfectly visible online, is located on the right bank of the Volga River at an altitude of 102 meters.
