There is a live broadcast of the market square of the English city of Uppingham, which officially appeared in 1281, despite the fact that the market existed at this place long before that date.

Every Friday on the square in the online camera there is a market – the commercial and social center of the city.

Throughout the year, the Market Square in webcam hosts various annual events such as the City Festival, the Christmas Market and the Fat Stock Show, which has been held in Uppingham for over 100 years and is the only livestock event of its kind in the UK: it is still being held in temporary pens in the city market square online.

Uppingham

Uppingham, where the live stream comes from, is a town (parish) in the unitary and historic county of Rutland, east-central England.

The city where the webcam is located is known for its 16th century houses and a public (independent high) school. It originated as a trading city and is located in a predominantly agricultural area. The main attraction is the Uppingham School, which was founded in 1584 and still retains its original building.

Rutland

Rutland, a unitary government and historic county in the East Midlands of England. Rutland, located between the counties of Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire, is the smallest among them. The administrative center of the region in the online camera is the city of Oakham, which has preserved a large 14th century church and a 12th century castle – one of the best examples of late Norman interior architecture. It should be noted that there are many other beautiful churches and houses in Rutland.

In the late 1970s, the largest reservoir in the UK – Rutland Water, was created in the center of the county. This this a center for fishing, bird watching and boating. In addition, the reservoir is a nature reserve.

East Midlands

East Midlands, the region where the live streaming takes place, is a picturesque area in the east of England. Its administrative center, Melton Mowbray, is a pretty old town and home to the cold pork pie of the same name. It is also home to one of 6 cheese mills producing the famous stilton.

The ancient city of Leicester is popular for its castle of the 10th century, the symbol of the city – the Clock Tower and the Temple of St. Martin, where the remains of King Richard III are kept. Of the modern attractions, the National Spaсe Cosmonautics Center stands out.

The historic city of Derby is home to the Anglican Cathedral of All Saints, the smallest in the state, and the Arboretum, the first public park in the United Kingdom.
