There is a live stream on the Parade Square (Plac Defilad), located in the center of Warsaw. The Parade Square, which you can see in the online camera, is one of the newest squares in the capital of Poland. It was built in the period from 1952 to 1955. At the same time with the Parade Square in our webcam, the Palace of Culture and Science was also built here. You can see this palace in the online webcam.
In the past, Parade Square, perfectly demonstrated in our live webcam, was the most popular venue for parades on behalf of the government of the Polish People’s Republic.
After changing the political system, Parade Square lost its direct purpose and for some time became a gigantic market place.
Currently, Parade Square is mainly used for parking.
In 2019, the Museum of Modern Art was opened near the Parade Square.
Interesting events from the recent history of Parade Square:
– On 14 June 1987, during the third apostolic journey to Poland, Pope John Paul II celebrated Mass in the square, ending the Second National Eucharistic Congress.
– During the UEFA Euro 2012, which Warsaw was a host city for, a large Fan Zone was located there.

In Warsaw is a warm temperate climate. Summer can be hot, and can be warm and pleasant. In the evenings it usually gets much cooler. Winter is severe, often snowing. The hottest month is July, and the coldest is January.
