This webcam is aimed at one of the most striking sights of Stavropol – Fortress Mountain, the birth place of this beautiful city.
During the reign of Catherine II, on a hill in a live broadcast, was laid the defensive fortress of the Kuban Cossacks. On Fortress Hill stands the symbol of Stavropol – Suvorov Cross.

Nowadays, this mountain shown in the webcam, is the attraction center and a favorite place for walks and meetings of locals and guests of Stavropol.

There are monuments of different eras decorating the Fortress Mountain in online live camera. The main place is for the five-domed Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, which also falls into the webcam lens. A bit to the left in the live stream there is the mausoleum, which stores the remains of the Soviet general, the hero of the Second World War, Joseph Apanasenko.

You can’t see it in the online camera, but on the mountain there is a giant figure of cavalryman of Budyonny’s army (civil war 1918—1921), installed in Soviet times.

A favorite place on the Fortress Mountain online, or as it was called Komsomolskaya Mountain before, is a musical fountain that performs classical music.

The main attraction of the Fortress Hill, perfectly shown in the online broadcast, is the cascading staircase, which you can also see in the webcam. It goes from K. Marx Avenue to the very top of the park.

Stavropol

The city of Stavropol with one of the attractions shown online, is the cultural, business and industrial center of the Stavropol Territory. This is one of the largest cities in the North Caucasus and the North Caucasus Federal District.

For example, on Fortress Mountain in the online camera there is a monument to A.S. Pushkin, and one of the central streets is named after the great poet and writer M.Yu. Lermontov.

Of the historical sights, the Taman Forest Park stands out. There is a unique place of the “Cold Spring”, it is a memorial complex erected in honor of the locals died during the Nazi occupation. All monuments in Taman Forest are included in the system of springs.

In Stavropol you see in online footage, there is an unusual building of 1913 – the Bayger Pharmacy with mosaic walls, stained glass windows and a small clock tower.
