For example, the legendary Kulikovo field, where in 1380 for the first time the combined forces of the Russian princes under the leadership of Dmitry Donskoy defeated Khan Mamai. Another attraction is Polenovo – the picturesque estate of the genius artist V.D. Polenov. Of course, the famous Yasnaya Polyana, where Leo Tolstoy wrote his works “Anna Karenina” and “War and Peace”, is worth a visit.
