The Leon Сathedral in our web camera online is a masterpiece of the Spanish Gothic style religious architecture and a true historical monument. Curiously, the construction of the temple lasted several centuries! The construction of the cathedral began in the 13th century, and ended in the 16th century. The Leon Cathedral also has some other names: Santa Maria de la Regla, Pulchra Leonina, House of Light. Whatever of the temple’s name, it is the main church of Leon in the northwestern part of Spain.

The front facade of the Cathedral in our online webcam has 2 towers, and three portraits adorn beautiful sculptures. There is a Gothic rosette window on the central part of the facade.
The interior of the Leon Cathedral has an altar, the space behind which is decorated in Renaissance style. Strikingly beautiful stained-glass windows of 13-15 centuries, occupying an area of about 1800 m2.! There is an urn with the relics of the patron saint of Leon - St. Froilan in the most important chapel of the majestic building. In the Cathedral of Leon, with our online webcam there is a museum also, with 1500 exhibits of religious works of art.

Leon is dominated by the continental climate of the Mediterranean. Partly Leon is influenced by the mountain climate. Precipitation falls mainly in spring and autumn.
