The main attraction of the city is the Cathedral (XIV-XIX centuries), which you can see on our live stream web camera. Cathedral crowns the oldest part of the city. The nave of a Cathedral with a height of 44 meters and a length of 121 meters makes the Cathedral one of the highest Gothic constructions in Europe, and its fantastic lighting system is designed by famous Antonio Gaudi. The complex also houses the Museum of the Cathedral, the Art Museum and the Palace of the Moorish rulers of the island - Palau de L'Almudain (X-XII cc.).
Behind the Сathedral on our webcam online there is the most attractive part of the city. It is very similar to the typical Arabian "medina" old quarter: the streets labyrinths and lanes with the elegant Arabian baths, Museum of Mallorca and Basilica of Saint Francisco, the statue of Junipero Serra and the first Christian church on the island - Santa Eulalia (XII- XIV centuries). Also there is the old town hall in the style of the late Renaissance. Outside the quarter there is Bellver Castle (14th century, a rare example of a round fortress; also here is a castle museum), the old bourse and the Archbishop's Palace, as well as the Joan Miró Museum (the famous Catalan surrealist) are located outside the quarter. Also worth visiting is the museum-district "Spanish Village" (Pueblo Español).
Despite the fact that the main attraction point of the island's capital is magnificent beaches such as Can Pastilla or Cala Romantica, with our live stream cameras where life is always boiling, a lot of luxurious hotels and boarding houses are built, and the doors of restaurants and cafes practically do not close, outside the beach recreation for tourists, too, will not be bored. The most famous place of the northwestern part of the island is the Serra de Tramuntana mountain chain with picturesque peaks and steep sea cliffs, surrounded by olives and citrus valleys with very picturesque towns and villages. Around the town of Soller is a colorful mountain village of Deya and the monastery of Valdemossa to the south-west. The most important pilgrimage center on the island is the Lluc Monastery (XIII century). The ancient city of Pollensa with its monastery of the Ermita de Nostra Senyora de Puig (XVIII century.) is a place to visit.
If you move to the north of the island, we advise you to go to the town of Alcudia, where you can take a sea excursion along the coast or to the territory of the s’Albufera nature park, with the last stretch of wild marshes that were covered the entire northern coast of the bay. The town of Porto Cristo with magnificent caves lies at the heart of the coast. Classical music concerts are held here.
