One of the main historical and religious attractions of Caorle, whose promenade you see in the webcam, is the Roman-Byzantine St. Stephen’s Cathedral of 1038. Inside it is stored “The Last Supper” the painting of Gregorio Lazzarini. The cathedral is dignified by the 48-meter bell tower of 1048.
Since 1975, liturgical museum exposition, founded by Patriarch Albino Luciani (Pope John Paul I), has been exhibited in the cathedral chapel. It houses a large collection of church robes, altar paintings and sacred bishops’ jars. In addition, there are a precious silver cross and six icons of the apostles, forming the ancient iconostasis of 12-13 centuries. Besides, there is St. Stephen (patron saint of Caorle) skull.
Another interesting religious attraction of Caorle, the coast of which is shown by the provided online camera, is the Church of the Blessed Virgin of the Angel, which occupied a cape on the Adriatic shores.
Families with children traveling in Caorle should visit the Aquafollie Water park.
From the port of Caorle on a motor boat Motonave Arcobaleno you can take a fascinating boat trip to the Caorle lagoon.
