The bay in our webcam is located between two natural parks. On one side of the beach, which you see in the online camera, there is the Zingaro nature reserve (Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro), which extends till the western part of the golf of Castellammare. On the other hand there is the Monte Cofano reserve.

Besides the excellent beach that you see in the online stream camera, the town of San Vito Lo Capo Beach has a rich collection of cultural monuments scattered around the neighborhood, amazing nature and a favorable climate.

The highlight of San Vito Lo Capo, which coast is perfectly demonstrated by our webcam online, is the beautiful Piazza Santuario temple square in the northern part of the city.

On the main city street - Via Savoia there is a large number of cafes and bars, as also there is a small church, large store and many souvenir shops.

There is another amazing and significant street in the city - the Via Antonio Venza, the venue for one of the most popular summer events devoted to books: the fair “Books, Writers and Bougainvilleas” (“Libri autori e buganvillee”).

If you want to visit San Vito Lo Capo neighborhood, whose beach is visible in the online stream, we advise you to go to the Baia Santa Margherita bay in the direction of Castelluzzo. This is the most untouched coast of western Sicily, located in the region of Monte Cofano till Macari. On the beach there is a mini-bar, you can rent umbrellas and deck chairs.

You can park your car and then take the train, which allows you to get into several miniature sand and pebble coves between Santa Margherita and Riserva Naturale di Monte Cofano. Travel will appreciate both children and adults.

At a distance of 3 kilometers from San Vito Lo Capo with our live cam, there is a very symbolic place: Tonnara del Secco. It opens the whole interesting story of the Sicilian northwestern coast. Tonnara is the traditional net for tuna catching in the Golf of Castellammare.

Since 1969, the fishery is no longer there, but the place still keeps a special atmosphere. Fishermen, visiting Tonnara del Secco, enthusiastically share stories about traditional tuna fishing.

 

Climate

The climate of San Vito Lo Capo is Mediterranean. Summer is hot and long, and winter is mild and short. Precipitation is a rare phenomenon. Mostly light rain can happen in winter: from October to March. The maximum is reached in July and August, when the average temperature approaches +26 C. The minimum temperature is fixed from December to February and it is from +10 C to +14. The water temperature in winter is +16 C, and in summer +27 C.
